This is just a short note to express how much my wife and I appreciate the work and professionalism Tom Miller/ Cedar Prairie Grading did after the Derecho in Cedar Rapids. Tom extracted the stumps on over 13 trees and then cleaned out a drainage ditch to keep the water flowing in an efficient manner back to our pond. He always showed up on time and had his machinery ready to go. We could tell quickly this was not Tom’s first rodeo. He almost surgically removed the stumps and extracted them like a bad tooth. Mr. Miller’s work was reasonably priced and we look forward to additional excavation work in the future.

When I met Tom, I needed to build my yard up along side of the house so the water would run away from the foundation. This was after Derecho. Tom was very responsive and answered all of my questions.  Cedar Prairie Grading did a fantastic job regrading and seeding our back yard after we added an addition onto our home in 2019.

Tom’s experience and knowledge was evident when he came to bid the job. He could see trouble areas and provided options that ensured the project (grading and installation of underground tiles for down spouts) would ensure proper runoff even during heavy rains. When we needed additional grading work in 2020 due to the Derecho storm eliminating much of our woodland area, we called on Tom again!
